Address:

More Info

Annual Fruit Tree Grafting workshop returns – led by Tim Foster & hosted by Mike Feingold.

The workshop is FREE, but there’s a charge of about £2 for each fruit tree graft you make to take away with you.
Please arrive at 10.45 for 11am start!
Please note – there are limited spaces: Priority will be given to people involved in community food & growing projects.
To book your place you must contact Mike on mikefeingold[at]blueyonder.co.uk to get a confirmed place.

Event Info:
– You should bring a sharp knife, and ideally your own sharp secateurs – if you have them. We have a few spares to share around – hand sanitiser & cleaning gear will be available.
– You will learn about the tools to use, and the theory – why, how and what you can graft.
– After the theory there’ll be plenty of grafting practice (mainly apple trees, also plum, cherry & pear) – using our rootstock & tree cuttings, guided by the 2 tutors & other experienced grafters!

Please dress warmly with sturdy footwear, hat & work gloves – it will probably be cold & maybe wet.
There will be a fire & plenty of hot water/mulled cider – bringing your own mug/thermos would help.
Please bring veggie/vegan food & snacks to share.

We regret this is for age 16 years and older, due to use of very sharp tools; sadly there is no wheelchair accessibility due to the orchard being on a steep slope.
