A free forum for anyone in Somerset involved with initiatives that use food, growing and gardening to support positive change.
Food, growing and gardening projects are vital for the health and wellbeing of our communities, especially in times of economic hardship. That’s why Spark Somerset invite you to join us for this free forum, co-hosted by Spark Somerset and Somerset Community Food (SCF).
Whether you’re involved with a local allotment, community fridge or foodbank, therapeutic garden, cooking class or any other initiative which uses food, growing and gardening to support positive change, please join this chance to network and share peer support, learning and best practice.
Bryony Slaymaker, Wilder Communities Manager for Somerset Wildlife Trust, will be coming along to talk about how you can support wildlife and nature reconnection in your growing space. Funding Officer, Will Rowe, who will share information on suitable funding opportunities and there will be plenty of time to network and hear updates from other groups in the county.
Tickets to this event are freely available to voluntary organisations, social enterprises and individuals involved in community growing, food and gardening projects in Somerset.
