“Let’s Talk about Trolleys and Trash!” is an innovative project undertaken by young people to address and combat the challenges of fly-tipping and abandoned shopping trolleys in the BS13 community. In collaboration with Heart of BS13’s green influencers’ youth group and the Hartcliffe Club for Young People, this compelling short film titled “Trash Talks” was co-created.
“Trash Talks” seeks to shed light on the repercussions of dumped trolleys in the BS13 area. The film explores the motivations behind setting abandoned supermarket trolleys on fire, the prevalent issues of fly-tipping and litter in the community, and the profound impact on the civic pride of the young people. Heart of BS13’s overarching goal is to transform BS13 into a community with safer, greener spaces.
