Woodcroft Community Orchard’s Wassail

Woodcroft Community Orchard

Address:
Woodcroft Community Orchard, Woodcroft Rd, Brislington, BS4 4QW

More Info
The pagan tradition of Wassailing is having a bit of a comeback, in Brislington at least. Think fire, cider and singing.
Our annual seasonal celebration will start from 12pm with the ceremony starting at 12:30pm. Everyone welcome. Feel free to bring some lunch to enjoy before we start and we will also have some cakes and savouries for sale too.
Join us for singing, live music, morris dancers and of course blessing our trees for another fruitful year.

Please bring:

  • An instrument or something to bang along
  • Some cash for donations – we will have our very own Mulled Woodcroft Community Orchard Cider and Apple
  • Juice and some seasonal snacks available
  • A camping/reusable mug if you have one
  • Wear wellies or boots (it is muddy)
  • Wrap up warm
  • All the family welcome along. As we embrace this age-old tradition with Wassial songs, stories around the fire and crafts. You are welcome to tour our site too, to find out more about what we are about how you can get involved.
Note, this is a dog-free event. No dogs will be allowed onto our site.
