More Info

‘Grow your Lunch’ is gardening social lunch, growing fruit and veg in an inner city garden, and sharing a light lunch.

Every Wednesday from 10.30am to 1.30pm. This is a free service with a non-obligatory donation of £2.

Just turn up – no need to book, you will register when you get here.

What makes Grow Your Lunch special?

Unlike other gardening groups, at Grow Your Lunch you can learn how to grow fruit and vegetables and enjoy the outdoors even in the middle of a city. Most of our produce grows in raised beds, making it accessible to everyone. This also means you can take the skills you pick up in the group and apply them in your own home, no matter how big (or small) your garden is. We also share the produce among the group, so you get to enjoy fresh fruit and veg you’ve seen grow.

You also benefit from knowing about other things happening at the community centre and becoming part of our community.

Our group is open to all, however we would particularly welcome people who are 65+. Please note we are not a support service, so all members need to be able to join and participate independently. There will be a range of activities suitable for various needs and abilities. If you are not sure if the project is suitable for you or your client, please check out our FAQ’s.

Dress in layers with a waterproof. We will go ahead in all-weather but rest assured that if it’s very wet or very hot we’ll have some undercover tasks for us to do. All tools provided.
