More Info

Heart of BS13 are excited to invite you to Hartcliffe City Farm to learn about our new composting project, and how it’s improving the environment in and for our community.

Sound a bit weird?! We know, but trust us. Composting is an amazing process, creating healthy soil which is essential for life. And turning our food waste into compost is a simple, easy and effective way of caring for the environment and improving the soil for future generations. We are confident that after coming on our compost tour, you’ll never want to throw your food waste in the bin again!

What will happen on the tour? We’ll take you to see our Ridan composting machine, which allows us to process food waste, before it goes into compost bays. You’ll get to help turn the compost and load it into the bays, check out the bugs and other life in our living soil, and visit the flower farm when our compost ends up.  And there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, over tea and cake!

Cost:
BS13 residents and Closed Loop Club members – FREE (donations welcome, we’ll have a cash bucket on site)
Adults – £10
Children – FREE (maximum 3 children to 1 adult)
