Immerse yourself in an in-depth, hands-on and dynamic learning experience – The Shift Practical Sustainability Course (PSC) Open Evening is 3 May 2023.
Join Shift for an exploration of the Practical Sustainability Course 2023-2024.
6.50pm : Zoom opens – grab a cuppa 7.00pm – 8.00pm : Presentation from Shift Bristol Director; Laura Corfield, on Shift Bristol’s roots, our style of education, and the journey of the PSC 8.00pm – 8.30pm: Informal chat and Q&As The course covers a wide variety of modules including Permaculture Design, Soil and Ecology, Organic Horticulture, Green Energy, Group Dynamics, Creating Change, Woodland Management, Green Building, Re-localisation and Community Engagement. The year is packed with information, difficult questions, innovative solutions, bold ideas, collaborative experiences, and personal challenges. The curriculum is taught through workshops, talks, activities, field trips, design projects, discussions and group work by tutors actively engaged with their subject.
Term time only (in line with Bristol school holidays), three days per week (Tues, Wed and Thurs). Approx course hours per day; 9.30am to 3.30pm.
