The pagan tradition of Wassailing is having a bit of a comeback, in Brislington at least. Think fire, cider and singing.
Woodcroft Community Orchard is a community run and led project, the orchard itself is on land at Woodcroft Road Allotments. It’s designed to be a project to bring people together and share the journey to create and maintain an orchard.
The group have planted over 50 trees; Apple, Pear, Plum, Damson, Gage, Mulberry, Quince, cherry and a range of soft fruits. The project is on behalf of the local community (and wildlife) and is an independent and self-governed grassroots project.
