Good Food Governance
Every mouthful counts: Unlocking a metropolitan food revolution
Sustain
Address:
Online, This is an online event
In this exciting webinar, Sustain will reveal how metropolitan councils have progressed on food and climate a year on from our last report.
The food system is responsible for a third of UK emissions and is the leading cause of biodiversity loss. This needs to change.
Local authorities in the UK spend over £70bn on procurement each year and manage up to 1.3 million acres of land collectively. They have a significant role to play in reversing Britain’s broken food system.
In this exciting webinar, Food for the Planet share the findings of our latest research, revealing how metropolitan councils have progressed on food and climate a year on from our last report. We will also hear from Newcastle, Bury, Birmingham, Leeds and Sunderland – some of our council trailblazers – followed by a Q&A where you will be able to ask more questions about their successes and challenges in creating a good food local revolution in metropolitan areas.
This webinar is free to attend and will take place via Zoom. Please register to secure your space. You will need a Zoom account to watch this event live, which is free and quick to create.
