Urban Growing
Get Growing Trail 2025 announced!
By Bristol Food Network
Dive into Bristol’s vibrant community of fruit and vegetable gardens, encompassing allotments, orchards, and urban farms. Running 20-21 September for a harvest event this year, the trail offers a unique opportunity to explore the city’s green spaces and get involved with community growing, all while enjoying free entry to these lush havens.
Plot your own route around the city using the Google map above. Red is for sites open on Saturday 20 September, green for sites that are open on Sunday 21 September and yellow for sites that are open on both days. Entrance to all of the gardens listed below is free.
Access
Community growing sites often have uneven ground, and sometimes the approach roads or tracks may also be uneven. First Bus has kindly donated a limited number of free bus tickets for people who are struggling to afford to get to the sites. Contact us for more information: hello@bristolgoodfood.org.

Alive has been running sessions for people living with dementia at their community allotment for four years now. Guy and Abi designed and built the site in accordance with best-practice models for both accessibility and dementia-friendliness. Alive’s goal is that everyone can continue enjoying the joy of gardening well past the time when maintaining their own growing space becomes too much. We’ll be offering tours and have activities for people to enjoy, as well as tea and cake and a chance to chat.
Volunteer sessions: Mondays & Tuesdays 1–4pm.
