You’re invited to our Bower Ashton allotment site to hear four short talks about the wildlife, ecology and a sustainable food source found on the site.

The speakers are :-

Peter Loy-Hancocks will summarise the findings of his recent two-year survey of bats in BS3, with particular reference to his surveys across all of the HwDAA sites

Guy Mountford – Bower Ashton assistant site rep will talk about Forest Gardens and reflect on the venture undertaken to create one on the Bower Ashton allotment site – with a tour of the garden included.

Keving Mulligan will talk about Ponds and their construction – the options, the do’s and don’ts for those that would like to dig their own

Louisa Philpott will talk about pond life and her research of the life found in the ponds on the allotment sites in the Bedminster area
