Urban Growing
Edible Bristol’s How To Grow course
Edible Bristol
Address:
Speedwell Allotments, Whitefield Road, BS5 7TY
Join Edible Bristol for a day of confidence building in the garden.
Whether you have a small balcony, a windowsill, a garden, allotment or grow in a community space, this course aims to build confidence and knowledge around the building blocks of growing. We will look at no dig growing, watering, growing from seed, some basic propagation techniques and how to grow with nature and the planet at the forefront of your practices whilst still creating beautiful and productive spaces.
This day isn’t just for veg gardeners, but for anyone who spends time with their hands in the soil, or dreaming of having hands in the soil. You’ll have lots of opportunities to ask questions as well. The course leader is Sara Venn, founder of Edible Bristol, who has twenty years plus experience of growing in nurseries, gardens and market gardens.
Whilst this is not a permaculture course, the project is focused on regenerative growing, and this is a great opportunity to learn more about growing and gardening as a solution to climate and biodiversity breakdown.
£50-95.
